The Boutique Hotel Calatrava is located by Palma’s ancient, historical wall, which used to separate the city from the sea, far from the hustle and bustle to ensure perfect restfulness.

Our hotel’s privileged location allows you to practise outdoor sports. You can enjoy yoga sessions with a private teacher in the nearby Parc de la Mar, jog next to the Mediterranean, swim on the beach that’s just a few minutes’ walk away from the hotel, take a stroll or bike ride along the beautiful El Portixol sports marina, take a tour of the old wall on a Segway, rent a sail boat in the sports marina of Palma and much more. 

Because of its location inside the historical city centre, the hotel is just a few minutes from the Cathedral of Palma, the Almudaina Palace and the most important shopping and cultural area in the city, all of which can be reached with a brief, pleasant stroll.
 

The History

The neighborhood of Sa Calatrava, located in the historic center of Palma, is one of the oldest in the city. Its construction dates back to the 13th and 14th century and is mostly edified over the walls that lead to the ocean. It is located at a short distance from the most historic structures of Palma: the Cathedral and the Royal Palace of La Almudaina, receiving its name from the Order of Calatrava after the Christian conquest of the island. Its physical appearance, unique in its narrow streets from the primitive Arabian city as well as having been integrated in the ancient Jewish Quarters, grant to the area an incomparable exclusivity and allure. Seigniorial houses come together with unique monuments such as the baroque Church of Montesion which occupies the site that was once one of Palma´s two synagogues, the Santa Clara convent where the nuns of the Order have been living and praying for 750 years, the church of Santa Fe which conserves the relic that according to tradition cured the city of the plague, or the Arab Baths, one of the rare remains of Muslim architecture and a vestige from the domination by Califato de Córdoba over the island during the 10th and 11th century.
 
 
 

Rooms

The hotel has 16 rooms, of which 10 of them have magnificent views to the bay of Palma and Parc de la Mar. The categories are distributed as: 6 Suites Calatrava with an approximate area of 60 square meters, all with sea views and a small private terrace, 3 Junior Suites overlooking Parc de la Mar, one of them adapted for disabled people and with an area from 40 to 60 m2, 7 Deluxe rooms with an area between 25 and 40 m2.

The hotel also has two connecting rooms and a room suitable for disabled guests. 

The rooms are spacious, bright, quiet, comfortable and with a cozy atmosphere, have been decorated in a contemporary design with some antique furniture. All rooms have king size bed and spacious closets. The bathrooms are spacious, bright and modern.
 

Deluxe room

The Hotel has 7 cozy and comfortable rooms of this category. Each room has been uniquely decorated with modern design combined with some antique furniture. All rooms have a small balcony facing the old town of Palma. Spacious and modern bathrooms with shower and/or bathtub. There are 7 rooms between 25 and 40 m2.
 

Junior Suite with terrace

Our Junior Suites are bright, airy and have a private terrace with views to the Parc de la Mar. Each room has been uniquely and exclusively decorated with fresh and contemporary style combined with some antique furniture. All Junior Suites feature a modern bathroom with shower and bathtub. The rooms are between 45-50 m2. All our Junior Suites are equipped with a coffee maker Illy design and free tea.

 

Suite with sea views and terrace

Our suites are a treat for the senses. All rooms have private lounge and terrace with spectacular sea views. Each room has been uniquely and exclusively decorated in a contemporary style combined with some antique furniture, all enhanced by natural light coming through its large windows, there you will also enjoy beautiful views of the bay Palma. Spacious and modern bathrooms with shower and bathtub. There are 6 rooms between 50 and 60 m2 and a terrace of 8 m2. All our Suites are equipped with a coffee maker Illy design and free tea.

Calatrava Gastro-Gourmet is a gastronomic place which has a small boutique with a selection of national food and drinks. We have created a full and varied menu prepared with seasonal ingredients of the highest quality. All dishes we offer are an example of recipes rooted in Majorcan and Spanish cultures. Our establishment Gastro-Gourmet offers your palate a harmonious mix of specialties and linked products to the most traditional “home cooking”.

Located on the ground floor of the Boutique Hotel Calatrava, our gastronomic place and its shop offer an interior saloon as well as a quite outdoor terrace, overlooking Parc de la Mar and the Mediterranean sea, to taste, in them, our grate products. Of course, and if you desired, may be acquired them to take them with you, as a unique souvenir of your stay or request delivery to your location.

We open every day from 12:30 until 23:00.
